Background-The K'iche' are one of the largest Mayan groups and make up 11.28% of Guatemala's population. The Quiche Department is named after them and is home to 65.1% of the department's population. The people are kind and accommodating. If you’re used to Mexican tamales and are open to trying new things, I would challenge you to try the tamal made from rice! You will never know it’s rice! Or try the Chuchito! Absolutely delicious! ”
